BIOGRAPHY
Originally from the multicultural lands of New Caledonia, MARCUS GAD embodies a resolutely spiritual musical movement, nestled between meditative roots and soul, carried by a singular singing technique, close to the liturgy. His message, nourished by a powerful musical trance, a refined sound devoid of any artifice, invites us to travel and to reflect. Cultural ambassador of an island lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where nature and tribal customs are still magnificently preserved, MARCUS GAD reminds everyone of his primary essence in these times of crisis. More than music, his work invites you to live a unique and sensory experience.
Since the success of his first album "Chanting" in 2017, MARCUS GAD never ceases to make news and his sharp and daring productions. He presented "Rhythm of Serenity" in 2020 and then offered a more urban parenthesis with the project "Brave New World" released in 2021 in collaboration with the beatmaker TAMAL. "Ready For Battle" is Marcus Gad's fourth studio album and was released on Feb. 10th (Baco Records). This new opus was developed in collaboration with the Tribe, thus we find this unique musical color that links Marcus Gad and his Tribe. The result is a common musical research and even more elaborate around the recurring themes that Marcus addresses through his music; spiritual awareness, collective awakening on the pressing need to change our way of life, return to nature; a message always important, which has become crucial in our post-covid world.
