Ten years after the band was created, The Skints, a quartet who draws their London roots in the breeding ground of their love for Jamaica, present their new album, FM. Over the last years, The Skints explored every aspect of modern reggae and became the biggest emerging artist of in England. Based in East London, this group of friends have three singers blessed with perfect musicality, sometimes punk, sometimes pop but always punchy.
Their last album, FM, is above all a concept whose titles are said to be extracts from 103.skints, a fictional pirate radio. It contains interludes of DJs and presenters, but also every style the band loves : Retro-dancehall (This Town), Ska-motown (Friends & Business) or more classical reggae (In the Night, The Forest For The Trees). The Skints pay a tribute to the time of pirate radios that kept reggae alive during all these years in the UK.
The album is produced by Prince Fatty (Lily Allen, Holly Cook…).
